Support clients' return to work and life after injury as a Graduate Provisional Psychologist at APM, with dedicated professional development and a focus on diversity.

Your role

Responsibilities

  • Providing initial assessment, testing, and brief interventions for job seekers with psychosocial and mental health barriers to employment
  • Performing new employment vocational assessments, transferable skills analysis, and recovery support
  • Conducting initial assessments and case management for injured workers returning to employment
  • Assessing and reporting on psychological functional capacities and completing psychological functional assessments
  • Conducting intelligence testing and reporting
  • Assessing and making recommendations on the effects of mental health and medical conditions on work ability
  • Writing detailed case notes and reports
  • Working with adult clients from diverse socioeconomic, educational, psychosocial, and nationality backgrounds
  • Providing Adjustment to Injury counselling and Vocational Counselling in-person and via phone to support client rehabilitation
  • Collaborating with a team of dedicated allied health professionals
About you

Qualifications

  • Hold a Master's degree in Psychology
  • Be eligible for Provisional Psychology registration with AHPRA upon graduating
  • Be eligible for the 5+1 supervision
  • Have graduated in the last 12 months or be graduating in 2025
  • Pass a national criminal check prior to commencing employment
  • Have full Australian working rights
  • Hold a full driver's license, own vehicle, and comprehensive insurance
  • Demonstrate effective communication, attention to detail, and time management skills
  • Show enthusiasm, dedication, and a desire to collaborate and contribute fresh ideas
  • Be committed to making a positive impact on people's lives and developing business acumen
