Application Packaging Specialist - Initial 6-month Contract with Potential to Extend

Hays has partnered with a thriving state government entity to appoint an experienced Application Packaging Specialist to an initial 6-month contract.

Your new role
As an Application Packaging Specialist, you will be required to use your expertise to assist in the development work of projects and improvement initiatives. The main focus of this role is to streamline and improve the application lifecycle.

  1. Review the current environmental process/standard and develop/strategise integration of newer application practices and standards.
  2. Designing, developing and troubleshooting application packaging within an enterprise environment.
  3. Utilise traditional packages ranging from legacy to SAAS based products.
  4. Transitioning and delivering applications through modern management tools such as Microsoft Intune.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be able to implement, manage, maintain and support application deployment technologies within MECM/MEM and utilise centralised computing technologies such as Citrix as well as application virtualisation or streaming such as Microsoft Application Virtualization (AppV). The successful candidate will need to have experience using Microsoft Intune and provide specialist ICT troubleshooting and incident management for ICT systems and applications, utilising the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework and adhering to relevant policies, strategies, standards, protocols, and procedures.
