Our client is an Australian Retail Group experiencing significant growth through investments and acquisitions. With over 1500 employees nationwide, this is a hands-on role for an experienced Payroll professional seeking the next career step.

This 3-month contract role, reporting to the Payroll Manager, involves managing several entities and executing end-to-end payroll for all staff within the assigned entities. The role is suitable for an immediately available or soon-to-be-available Payroll Officer.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Processing weekly payroll for up to 2000 staff
  • Maintaining employee data
  • Processing onboarding and terminations
  • Managing superannuation contributions and payroll tax payments and reconciliations
  • Processing timesheets for fortnightly/monthly pay runs
  • Adhering to payroll statutory requirements
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Interpreting EBA and Modern Award provisions
  • Streamlining payroll functions
  • Arranging new starters

Skills and Experience:
  • 2-3 years of end-to-end payroll experience
  • Experience processing high-volume payrolls
  • Multi-entity payroll experience
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Experience with large payroll systems
  • Handling large, complex payrolls
