About us:

Be Still Movement is a new not-for-profit ministry running Christ-centred movement & meditation classes in churches throughout Sydney, and beyond.

We aim to create a safe space for women, in particular, to receive Bible-based teaching, alongside the physical movements, mindfulness and breath techniques of yoga.

Our classes are open to everyone. For those who are not Christian, biblical wisdom is shared in a gentle, non-confrontational way, and participants can choose to dwell on a Bible verse or simply focus on the breath.

The classes are designed to be beginner-friendly, in a warm, welcoming community.

Alongside our regular, weekly classes, we also run classes at church events and retreats.

About you:

You are:

  • a committed member of a church
  • a qualified yoga teacher (min. 200 hours training)
  • able to adapt postures for participants with particular movement restrictions
  • open-hearted, willing to learn, willing to share your wisdom and a team player
  • worthy of being paid for your expertise (this is a paid role - not voluntary. :)
  • not necessarily a Sydney-sider. If you are outside Sydney, but fit the above criteria, please get in touch.

Be Still Movement is at the forefront of forging a new path for Christian yoga in Australia. Our Board includes Christian yoga experts and we are gathering a community of likeminded people across the country who are keen to embrace Christ-centred movement and meditation.
