Macquarie 4Star, located at the northern tip of Lake Macquarie, is an award-winning facility adjoining Club Macquarie, where guests can enjoy the facilities of a licensed club during their stay.

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Housekeeper/Team Leader to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property and its surrounds.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining high visual standards of cleanliness and maintenance of the property
  2. Organizing all cleaner's rooms and requirements
  3. Unpacking and storing linen efficiently
  4. Assisting cleaners with preparing guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to a high standard
  5. Restocking guest amenities and room attendant trolleys for efficient room servicing
  6. Maintaining high standards in the guest laundry and managing laundry responsibilities
  7. Monitoring and reporting maintenance issues, and carrying out minor maintenance when capable
  8. Working efficiently to meet daily room requirements
  9. Dusting and cleaning furniture, mirrors, and glass surfaces
  10. Disposing of waste responsibly

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  1. Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience at a high standard
  2. Motivation, attention to detail, and a positive attitude
  3. Physical fitness and positive energy for a hands-on role
  4. Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet daily schedules
  5. Availability Monday – Friday between 9am and 2pm, with occasional weekend work
  6. Knowledge of health and safety standards regarding equipment and chemicals
  7. Repair and maintenance skills are advantageous but not essential
