Job Title: Project Development & Controls Manager
Location: Alice Springs, NT, Australia
Job Type: Full-Time
Security Clearance: NV1 (AU) or U.S. Top Secret (or ability to obtain)
Job Summary:

Amentum is seeking a highly experienced Project Development & Controls Manager to lead and manage proposal development and project controls for infrastructure and facility-related projects in Alice Springs. This position plays a key role in strategic planning, cost control, scheduling, and risk management, and works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, compliant, and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in the development of project proposals and execution planning
  • Oversee cost-loaded schedules, EACs, risk identification, change management, and performance metrics
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Subcontracts, and internal stakeholders to drive effective planning and vendor engagement
  • Ensure compliance with Amentum and customer policies throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage transition from proposal phase to project execution through structured handovers
  • Foster team development, training, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain thorough documentation, records, and performance reporting
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance on all sites
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing complex projects or proposals
  • Strong background in project controls including scheduling, cost control, and performance reporting
  • Experience with SOW development for EPC or construction contracts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Excel, and Adobe Suite
  • Eligible for NV1 (AU) or Top Secret (U.S.) security clearance
  • Minimum age: 18; fluent in written and spoken English
Desirable:
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Project Management or Business
  • Experience in defence or secure environments
