About the role

Contribute to the operational success of the InfraBuild Steel Manufacturing departments by supporting existing and delivering enhanced IT capabilities. The role will involve the ongoing maintenance and support of a modern Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and associated systems.

This role works within the Manufacturing Execution Systems team supporting the applications referenced for all Infrabuild Steel Manufacturing plants and will be based out of Laverton or Newcastle.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work as the lead PL/SQL developer on the team
  • Co-ordinate and assist with various project tasks including, design, configuration, testing, training, data cleansing, cutover tasks and hyper-care support
  • Deliver ongoing application enhancements and upgrades to support various IT/business priorities
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support as per the agreed roster
  • Be involved throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Analyse requirements and translate into solution design and specification
  • Ensure quality of delivered systems through structured testing, reviewing, change management and documentation
  • Create training material and aid in intra team training on SQL development
  • Collaborate with vendor & integration partners on support and development requirements
  • Work within a cross-functional IT team to deliver business requirements on time and within budget

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience with the design, development, and programming of PL/SQL databases and client-servers required
  • Experience with Oracle SQL and Microsoft SQL database development required
  • Exposure in creating database pipelines for supporting report development is highly desired
  • Tertiary qualified in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar discipline is highly desired
  • Previous experience delivering and supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is highly desired
  • Exposure to create/modify reports that provides relevant business information using technologies such as Power BI preferred
  • Exposure to ERP & Industrial Automation systems in a process industry preferred
  • Understanding of Manufacturing processes and technologies preferred
  • Experience with PSI Metals application beneficial
  • Valid Driver's Licence and reliable Vehicle is required
