Overview

St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Castlemaine is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified teachers to join our dedicated team. We have both full-time and part-time positions available.

About Us: At St Mary's Catholic Primary School, we are committed to helping students reach their full potential. Our goal is to empower children to take responsibility for their own learning by providing them with strategies and skills to prepare for an ever-changing world. Our curriculum is designed to be purposeful, catering to the individual needs and experiences of all students. We believe that strong partnerships between families and the school make a significant difference in a child's education.

Position Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced classroom practitioner who is familiar with the Victorian Curriculum. The successful applicant will be able to collaborate effectively with others as part of a professional team, working towards improving learning outcomes for all students.

Selection Criteria
  • Faith-filled with a strong commitment to the Catholic Ethos of the school and to the spiritual, emotional, social, and educational wellbeing of all students.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Supportive behaviour management practices.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of contemporary learning and how to positively impact student learning.
Special Requirements
  • Full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic Primary School is desirable.
  • Commitment to child safety, maintaining best practices to ensure this, and ongoing evaluation of these practices.
