- Provide leadership in Indigenous Health research and curriculum development in the School of Medical, Indigenous and Health Sciences (MIHS)
- Support and mentor academic staff; foster a culturally safe and collegial environment; support professional growth and academic excellence
- Hold a key leadership position within the Ngarruwan Ngadju First Peoples Health and Wellbeing Research Centre and guide its strategic direction
- Collaborate across faculties, research centres, and Indigenous communities to shape the future of Indigenous health at UOW
- Strong track record in Indigenous health research, teaching and engagement
- Experience supervising and mentoring academic staff and higher degree research students
- Commitment to supporting Indigenous higher education and capacity-building
- Proven leadership and strategic capabilities; experience leading Indigenous health initiatives; alignment with national health strategies
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build collaborative relationships across academic, community and health service sectors
The School of Medical, Indigenous and Health Sciences (MIHS) includes disciplines of Indigenous Health; Exercise, Sport and Rehabilitation Sciences; Nutrition Science and Dietetics; and Medical Sciences. The School offers programs including a Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Trauma and Recovery Practice and a Master of Indigenous Health, along with accredited and non-accredited programs.
