Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a solutions-driven IT Systems and Network Administrator to join our Infrastructure and Security team. In this role, you will provide technical expertise to ensure secure and reliable connectivity within our networking environment.

Your responsibilities will be crucial in maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of the School's IT infrastructure, which includes:

  • Managing and maintaining optimal performance, reliability, and security of the School's cloud and on-premises servers and applications
  • Implementing security controls, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with Australian regulations and industry standards
  • Monitoring the IT infrastructure for potential security breaches and enhancing the School's cybersecurity strategy
  • Deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting various applications.

About You

You are an experienced Systems and Network Administrator with a strong background in server infrastructure and cloud-based IT solutions within a complex organisation.You possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a computer-related field (such as a Diploma of Information Technology – Advanced Networking or a higher qualification, or equivalent work experience)
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Network, server, and/or cybersecurity certifications
  • Proven expertise in managing network and server environments
  • Prior experience in the education sector is highly desirable
  • Eligibility for a Working with Children Check (also known as a Blue Card).
