2026 Junior School Teacher Librarian

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teacher Librarian to join our Junior School in 2026. You will inspire young learners to develop a love of reading and literacy through engaging, developmentally appropriate, and creative strategies and programs.

About the role

  • Part-time (0.2-0.3FTE), ongoing position
  • Commencing in January 2026 (Term 1, 2026)

  • Hold a teaching qualification, with strong knowledge of primary education and relevant experience within a library setting
  • Support academic growth by integrating literacy and research skills into the curriculum in a meaningful way

  • Demonstrate reliability, strong organisational skills, and a reflective teaching practice
  • Show a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with students, families, and colleagues, contributing to a supportive school community and a welcoming library culture
  • Create a safe, inclusive space where all students feel valued and represented
