We're Seeking Passionate Psychologists Specialising in Complex Conditions

Are you a Registered or Clinical Psychologist with a deep understanding of the psychological impact of chronic illness and invisible disabilities? We're looking for practitioners who recognize that mental health exists in complex relationship with physical health, and who excel at supporting patients navigating challenging health journeys.

Key Areas of Focus:

Invisible Illness & Chronic Conditions

• Supporting patients with conditions like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, dysautonomia
• Understanding the psychological burden of conditions that are often misunderstood or dismissed
• Helping patients navigate medical trauma and healthcare system challenges
• Assessment and support for ADHD and autism spectrum conditions
• Understanding how neurodivergence intersects with chronic health conditions
• Strengths-based approaches to neurodivergent care

Mental Health in Complex Contexts

• Anxiety and depression in the context of chronic illness
• Adjustment disorders related to new diagnoses or functional changes
• Health anxiety and somatic symptom management
• Trauma-informed care, particularly medical trauma
• Working alongside medical practitioners and allied health professionals
• Contributing psychological perspectives to multidisciplinary care planning
• Supporting patients through lifestyle and behaviour change

What You'll Bring:

• Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA (General, Clinical, or eligible for Clinical endorsement)
• Special interest or experience in chronic illness, invisible disabilities, and/or neurodivergence
• Understanding of the bidirectional relationship between mental and physical health
• Excellence in providing trauma-informed, compassionate care
• Strong collaborative skills and comfort working in multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to evidence-based practice while maintaining person-centred care
• Comfort with digital health platforms and telehealth delivery
