Job Title: Cloud Database Specialist
Job Type: Contract (6 months, 2 x 12-month extensions)
Location: Canberra, Offsite role
Australian Citizens residing in Australia with the ability to obtain Baseline Clearance are invited to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Migration: Plan and execute data migration of Oracle databases from on-prem to AWS Cloud platform (including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS) by demonstrating knowledge surrounding AWS Cloud platform and tools, providing advice on best practice, working with other DBAs to execute the migration, using agile methodologies, and documenting solutions.
- Expert Advice: Work with application project teams to provide expert advice and problem resolution support focused around Cloud hosted databases by gathering requirements, troubleshooting and providing advice, suggesting mitigation strategies and executing changes, using agile methodologies, and documenting solutions.
- Long-Range Planning: Work within a team of infrastructure specialists to develop a medium to long-range plan surrounding database hosting and support by participating in technical conversations representing database, providing professional advice and recommendations, using agile methodologies, and documenting solutions.
- Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing support and administration for Cloud hosted databases.
