The Morrison Hotel first opened its doors across the road as Hotel Britannia. Once that pub went up in flames, the Morrison you know today was built.

Opportunity to lead the kitchen team at the iconic Morrison Hotel, famed for Brisbane's Best Steaks. The Morrison Hotel is steeped in history and has been a landmark of the Brisbane hospitality scene for over a century. This is a brilliant opportunity to become a Head Chef at the Morrison Hotel.

What you'll do:

  • Run the pass during busy service times to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of dishes to surpass guest expectations
  • Menu planning, inventory management and food preparation
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
  • Create and manage staff rosters
  • Manage food safety and ensure adherence to compliance and safety standards

What you'll need:

  • Previous experience working as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment
  • Ability to lead effective teams and build a positive culture
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • Operational experience to achieve financial and business targets
  • Trade Cooking qualifications
  • The desire to be part of a fun, productive and professional team
