Our client is a leading Australian manufacturer and service provider in the mining and mineral processing industry is seeking a practical and hands-on Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Engineering Team based in Campbellfield. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical support to local and interstate teams while contributing to the ongoing growth and quality of the company's screen media product range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks
  • Provide engineering support to sales, tooling, and manufacturing teams both locally and interstate
  • Manage engineering projects end-to-end with autonomy, supported by a collaborative engineering team
  • Lead detailed design and development of tooling
  • Assist in the development and refinement of internal engineering procedures
  • Maintain strict compliance with OHS and QA policies across all internal and external operations

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Manufacturing Engineering, or similar
  • Strong experience in mining, mineral processing, or similar industrial/agricultural industries – highly regarded
  • Over 5 years' experience in a Mechanical or Project Engineer role
  • Experience with polyurethane and rubber materials is highly valued
  • Hands-on approach with willingness to assist in maintenance and servicing tasks
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to take initiative
  • Willingness to travel interstate for product inspections and on-site servicing as required
