About the role

This fixed-term, full-time or part-time role of Registrar (Palliative Care) is based at Greenwich Hospital. It involves providing palliative care reviews to patients and ensuring the delivery of medical clinical care under the supervision of the Specialist-in-charge. The role is available from now until Feb 2025 or from Feb 2025 to Aug 2025.

The essence of this role
  • Provide in-patient care to patients admitted to the Palliative Care unit
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain professionalism in all activities
  • Implement a personal learning plan with supervision
  • Participate in after-hours care of palliative inpatients
Qualifications | Work Experience | Skills and Competencies
  • Commitment to HammondCare's Christian Mission and values
  • Unrestricted NSW Medical Board Registration or eligibility
  • Primary Medical degree with at least two years of supervised practice as an RMO
  • Experience in Palliative Medicine or related specialty
  • Strong administrative and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Current Driver's License
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational skills and ability to supervise others
  • Compassionate and caring attitude
  • Advanced palliative medicine trainee (RACP, AChPM) or other accredited trainees
  • Training or experience in oncology or relevant specialties
  • Experience in research and quality assurance
  • Experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Working towards postgraduate qualifications in Palliative Medicine
