We are seeking an Electrical Field Service Engineer to join the team at Sydney International and Domestic Airport, providing technical expertise, maintenance, and customer support for advanced detection equipment used in a high-security airport environment.

What's on Offer
  • Competitive base salary PLUS annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary PLUS on call allowances
  • Tools Provided: Laptop, phone, and tool kit supplied
  • Shift Roster: Rotating shifts
  • Contract Type: Permanent full-time (38 hrs/week)
  • Location: Sydney NSW
Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, service, and repair high-tech X-ray and trace detection equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and respond to equipment faults
  • Install and commission new equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronics issues (24V or less)
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and contribute to process improvements
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers and uphold strong safety practices
About You
  • Certificate III Trade Qualification or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or IT
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in field service or maintenance
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence
  • Able to obtain and maintain required clearances (medical, background, and security)
