Knowledge and teaching experience of the Victorian Curriculum, with a willingness to develop programs to suit every child is expected of all staff at St Elizabeth's.

The successful applicant will be required to:

  1. have an understanding, commitment, and support for the values and ethos of the Catholic school and the mission of the Catholic Church
  2. demonstrate a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children in accordance with Child Safe standards
  3. foster and develop appropriate professional relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider school community
  4. collaboratively plan and work in a team with flexibility, creativity, passion and enthusiasm
  5. view themselves as a lifelong learner, which they foster in all students
  6. display initiative and commitment to ongoing improvement
  7. an understanding and commitment to the MACS 2030 Vision For Instruction
  8. have a sound knowledge of contemporary learning, with a particular emphasis on explicit instruction and cognitive load theory
  9. assess and report against the Victorian Curriculum to demonstrate student improvement
  10. gather, analyse and use data (formal and informal) to improve teacher practice, pedagogy and student outcomes
  11. have a commitment to pursuing and maintaining their professional knowledge and skills in the areas of teaching and learning and student wellbeing
  12. to have a sound understanding and confidently incorporate the Digital Technologies curriculum to engage students in their learning
  13. be adaptable and have a sense of humour
