Azure B2C Engineer

Now, we're on the lookout for a highly capable B2C Engineer to contribute to the Funding and Disclosure Reform Program at the AEC – one of the most nationally significant programs in the public sector today.

What You'll Be Doing – Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement infrastructure solutions that align with AEC's goals and compliance requirements
• Lead Azure AD B2C identity and access management initiatives, including tenant configurations, user flows, custom policies, and integrations
• Troubleshoot complex IAM challenges, including authentication, authorization, entitlements, and permissions
• Work with infrastructure-as-code tools to automate and optimise cloud/on-prem systems
• Support and maintain DevOps CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development teams
• Produce robust technical documentation, design papers, and knowledge transfer materials
• Operate within Agile Delivery Teams or the System Team, collaborating closely with other internal and external partners
• Be ready to support other duties as directed by program leadership – flexibility and proactivity matter here

What You Bring to the Table – Essential Skills & Experience

• Deep experience with designing, developing, testing, implementing, and integrating B2C tenants and policies
• Skilled in User Flows and Custom Policies for real-world identity use cases
• Confident troubleshooting identity and access management issues
• Familiar with integrating third-party and legacy systems into Azure AD B2C
• Strong hands-on knowledge of key Azure services
• Familiarity with GIT version control and branching strategies
• Experienced with DevOps CI/CD pipeline tools, particularly within Microsoft ecosystems
• Proven ability to improve build, test, and deployment capabilities via automation technologies
• Able to work within multi-disciplinary, geographically distributed teams
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A natural mentor who enjoys sharing knowledge and elevating team capabilities

Bonus Points – Desirable Criteria

• Relevant cloud or IT certifications, especially in Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with IT frameworks such as ITIL and TOGAF
• Understanding of Commonwealth ICT frameworks, policies, and governance standards
