Overview

HVAC Technician, Supervisor at KBR. Location: Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia. This is a contingent position based upon contract award. This role is onsite at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.

KBR's National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. The role has a direct impact on protecting national security.

What You'll Do
  • Assist with Project Planning: Provide input to the project team to identify key success factors, timing for design and procurement deliverables, and help establish common work breakdown structures.
  • Provide Leadership: Lead the creation of organizational structures and processes to effectively execute HVAC services; ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Manage HVAC Service Execution: Oversee HVAC services to meet contract requirements, design specifications, schedules, cost budgets, and quality standards.
  • Evaluate and Advise: Continuously evaluate progress, advising the project team on status, issues, risks, and cost factors of ongoing scope.
  • Monitor Safety Practices: Oversee safety orientations, indoctrinations, and crew safety; coach to improve safety practices.
  • Oversee Crew Organization and Compliance: Monitor crew structure, sizing, mix, and wage regulation compliance.
  • Manage Costs and Budgets: Review and monitor cost and man-hour budgets for HVAC installation and adjust as needed to stay within limits.
  • Develop Resource Plans: Plan staffing, facilities, equipment, and tools to meet project needs and allocate resources effectively.
  • Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures for installations and repairs.
  • Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear communication within the team and with other project stakeholders.
  • Enhance Crew Performance: Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Must be a US or Australian citizen
  • Must have a US TS/SCI Clearance w/ Poly, or an Australian PV clearance
  • Minimum seven years of HVAC technician experience
  • Minimum three years of supervisory experience
  • Journeyman or Master HVAC License, or Australian equivalent
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Attention to detail; precision to ensure high-quality service and safety compliance
  • Adaptability to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements
  • Decision-making ability to resolve issues quickly under pressure
