We are seeking an experienced and capable Workshop Manager to take charge of day-to-day coordination within our busy manufacturing workshop. This is a leadership role focused on managing people, schedules, resources, and equipment—ensuring everything is in place for safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery.

About the Role:

You'll work closely with the Operations Manager, QA/QC team, and senior leadership to ensure the workshop runs smoothly and meets project targets. This includes managing production schedules, allocating resources, overseeing equipment servicing, and making sure staff qualifications are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and manage daily/ weekly workshop schedules
  2. Allocate labour, materials, and plant for jobs based on priorities and capacity
  3. Run toolbox and production meetings with workshop teams
  4. Ensure all workshop equipment (cranes, welders, forklifts, etc.) is maintained and compliant
  5. Keep training and qualification records up to date for all workshop staff
  6. Monitor hours used on jobs and report back to key stakeholders
  7. Communicate effectively between workshop and management teams
  8. Support a safe, compliant, and productive working environment

What We're Looking For:

  1. Experience in a supervisory or management role within a fabrication or engineering workshop
  2. Strong organisational and communication skills
  3. Practical knowledge of production planning, workshop workflows, and equipment maintenance
  4. Ability to lead teams and manage day-to-day priorities effectively
  5. Comfortable with structured processes and reporting
  6. Available for immediate start
