Base pay range

A$180,000.00/yr - A$180,000.00/yr

Reporting to:

• Head of Software Development

Objective:

• Motivate and lead a team responsible for developing high quality software that delivers on the product vision.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development, and testing team leaders to ensure a consistent approach
• Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure an understanding of the product requirements
• Collaborate with the Head of Software Development to implement accepted coding processes
• Co-ordinate code reviews within the team
• Implement user stories using accepted coding processes
• Contribute to code documentation and comments
• Monitor application performance, reliability, and resolve issues
• Stay up to date on modern development practices
• Lead and motivate development teams
• Oversee employee onboarding, learning and career development for direct reports
• Monitor and report on development performance at team and employee level

Required skills, education, qualifications, and experience:

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• An understanding of modern development practices and distributed high-traffic web applications
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies
• React or other modern front-end development experience desirable
• tertiary-level qualification in IT, Computer Science or related degree or equivalent experience
