Downer's Energy & Utilities business has opportunities for local Trades Assistants to join our project team in Maranoa, Banana and Western Downs, QLD. We can offer an immediate start for the right candidate on a full-time, permanent position. In this role you will work as part of the site team throughout the Gas Fields with the work scope consisting of installation and maintenance on wellhead surface infrastructure and compression facilities ensuring that work is completed safely, effectively and to the required standard.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the site team on installation and maintenance of wellhead surface infrastructure and compression facilities
  • Ensure work is completed safely, effectively and to required standards
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Site Proficient: Previous experience in a heavy industrial environment, with oil & gas experience
  • Technically Proficient: Safe use of hand tools and equipment required to perform tasks
  • Team Oriented: Ability to work effectively within a team with strong communication and a commitment to safety
  • Site Qualifications: Hold full working rights in Australia, White Card, Gas Test Atmospheres Ticket, Working at Heights (within last 3 years), Dogman, Forklift and Elevated Work Platform tickets (required). MR or HR Licence (desirable). Must be clean shaven. Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical
Compensation & Benefits
  • Full-Time PERM Position: 18 days on, 10 days off roster
  • Competitive rate: EBA rates $44.57 per hour + Penalties + Allowances
  • Other benefits: Flights provided from Brisbane, QLD and on-site camp accommodation
