The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a procurement leader that manages commercial relationships with the business and suppliers through proactive engagement to ensure sustainable outcomes for the organisation. The role will provide thought leadership as a subject matter expert across the business to enable the delivery of the business's strategic plans.

Key focuses include:

  1. Support the delivery of the Supply Chain Strategy, initiatives, and objectives.
  2. Conduct detailed analysis to gain insights to determine methods to market, cost modelling, and value drivers including cost and risk reduction opportunities within the current spend profile.
  3. Develop and manage the efficient and effective operational delivery of category management, demand management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract management.
  4. Develop Sourcing Strategies and business cases by analysing potential benefits, savings opportunities, liabilities, and risk provisions by understanding and considering ESG and Risk Management obligations whilst undertaking sourcing and ongoing contract management activities.
  5. Lead the complex supplier negotiations that maximise not only commercial value but mitigate supply risk specific to each contract within the Portfolio.
  6. Continually challenge internal systems & processes and partner with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement ensuring delivery of business needs.
  7. Develop and implement Supplier Relationship Management activities while actively managing supplier performance through Relationship management and embedding strong contract management principles with stakeholders.
  8. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to business users for tactical and transactional procurement activities.
The Successful Candidate

This role will appeal to an experienced Procurement professional that partners with stakeholders in developing and executing strategy. Experience working in infrastructure, construction, or the like would be advantageous.
