Associate Director Corporate and Community Volunteer Programs

The Associate Director Corporate and Community Volunteer Programs (AD CCVP) is responsible for the development and implementation of Disaster Relief Australia's (DRA) Corporate and Community Volunteer Programs and Strategy.
Key AccountabilitiesThe AD CCVP is responsible for:
- Providing advice and support on the deployment and management of corporate volunteers during the conduct of DRA field operations.
- Designing and implementing DRA's Corporate and Community volunteer strategy to align with DRA 2030 Strategic Plan to grow corporate and community volunteers up to 10,000 registered by 2030.
- Supporting the management of a range of external relationships to build DRA's Community and Corporate Volunteer management capacity.
- Actively targeting and engaging DRA's corporate and community partners, in collaboration with the Director Partnerships and Fundraising to establish and manage corporate and community volunteer programs.
- Participating in partnership meetings between the NAB Foundation and DRA and effectively managing projects under this partnership.
- Overseeing the development of marketing and communications materials to support the marketing of the NAB Foundation Recovery Crew and DRA's Corporate Volunteer program, in collaboration with DRA's marketing team.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of the NAB Foundation Recovery Crew portal and CRM, in collaboration with DRA's technology department.
- Developing Corporate and Community Volunteer specific policy, procedures and processes that address matters such as insurance, finance and corporate engagement.
- Collaborating with the Field Operations Corporate and Community Volunteer coordinator to successfully operationalise the programs during preparedness and operational activities.
- Identifying and engaging with a range of partners, corporations and community organisations interested in deploying their membership base under DRA's Corporate Volunteer program.
- Implementing training packages designed to educate DRA volunteers and staff about Corporate and Community volunteers and their importance.
- Undertaking other duties as required by the Head of Strategy and Innovation.
The key challenge of this role is to have corporate and community partners sign up to participate in the program as well as educating DRA volunteers and staff on the importance of Corporate and Community volunteering.
Key RelationshipsThis role reports directly to the Head of Strategy and Innovation and will be a key member of the NAB Foundation, DRA Fundraising and Partnerships and Preparedness Working Groups. This role is directly responsible for corporate volunteering within DRA.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including liaising with high-level stakeholders in complex environments.
Proven leadership, planning and organisational skills.
Demonstrated high level of decision-making skills, analytical skills and conceptual thinking skills.
Demonstrated ability to devise innovative solutions and follow through with their implementation, even under pressure.
Sound business acumen, a strong sense of accountability and professional integrity, personal resilience and social and emotional intelligence.
Ability to build strong networks with a range of stakeholders, including corporate institutions and those interested in Community Volunteer management.
ExperienceExperience collaborating and networking with a wide range of stakeholders, particularly in an environment of diverse political and socioeconomic influences.
Experience in developing business plans, business cases and management reports.
Experience in developing service delivery models, quality systems, policy and practices.
Experience working at the management level in a Defence, First Responder or Emergency Management environment will be highly regarded.
Experience working with a volunteer workforce and corporate stakeholders.
KnowledgeSound knowledge of contemporary project management principles.
Knowledge of regulatory environments associated with Emergency Management and Volunteering.
Proven knowledge of operational management, including in human resources, finance, operational planning and quality improvement.
Business EnablersHigh IT competence with particular proficiency in Excel, Word and the Microsoft suite of applications.
Adhere to DRA Code of Ethics & Conduct and comply with organisational policies and procedures.
