Principal Environmental Engineer

We are seeking a driven Environmental Engineer with 7–10 years of experience in Contaminated Land Management (CLM) and environmental project delivery to join our Sydney team.

This is a senior leadership role ideal for someone who can lead technical delivery, project management, business development, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Lead the planning, implementation, and technical delivery of site investigation and remediation projects within the CLM space.
  • Multidisciplinary Support: Provide support on multidisciplinary projects that span CLM and Geotechnical engineering.
  • Business Development: Prepare project fee proposals, support tender submissions, and deliver high-impact presentations to clients in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Exceptional Delivery: Ensure exceptional project delivery in line with client expectations, timelines, and budgets.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic business development and operations planning meetings.
  • Technical Champion: Act as a Technical Champion for Project Management and Report Delivery, promoting excellence and innovation.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior staff, contributing to the ongoing growth of the CLM team.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Support: Provide cross-disciplinary support to Geotechnical and Structural teams as needed.
  • Internal Training: Take an active role in internal training and professional development events.
About You:
  • Educational Background: Degree-qualified in Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
  • Industry Experience: 7–10 years of relevant industry experience with strong technical knowledge in CLM and site remediation.
  • Track Record: Proven track record in project leadership, client management, and business development.
  • Skills: Strong proposal writing, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Mentorship Experience: Experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
  • Team Player: Collaborative and adaptable with a desire to contribute to a supportive and high-performing team.
