We're seeking an experienced Operations Team Leader to join the team at our brand new Fulfillment Center in Horsley Park for Day Shift.

Operations is the heart and soul of everything Amazon does. It is thanks to effective operations that items are processed and dispatched to our customers on time. Being an Operations Team Leader gives you the chance to see how all the different parts of operations work and play a role in making sure everything runs smoothly.

You'll be the first point of contact for team members during their shift and help them follow the processes that your managers have put in place. This is a hands-on role, which will give you experience in using the tools and systems that make our operations successful.

Key job responsibilities:

  1. Support and work in Inbound/Outbound Operations including other departments as required.
  2. Maintain a safe workplace by following Safety SOPs, ensuring the well-being of all personnel and the integrity of Amazon operations.
  3. Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties etc.
  4. Measure and monitor workflows, track onsite performance, and provide important shift information to front line management to ensure operational excellence across shifts.
  5. Support and train employees to deliver great service and supervise them in their daily tasks.
  6. Support the Shift/Area Manager with projects to improve processes, cultivate a safe working environment, and increase workforce engagement.
  7. Providing coverage for Area Managers.
  8. Work with other departments to find solutions to address common issues or support needs in areas of key performance.
  9. Use data analysis to identify ways to optimise safety, quality and productivity.
  10. Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance.
  11. Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline).
  12. Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance.
  13. Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals.
Key job responsibilities:
  1. Leading and developing a team of Amazon associates.
  2. Maintaining Health and Safety standards within your remit area, while promoting an inspiring Health and Safety culture on-site.
  3. Partnering with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
  2. Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  3. Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  4. Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
  5. You currently work at BWU6 as a permanent or agency employee.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. High school or equivalent.
