The Role:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our agile Legal team who champion a culture of ethical behavior, trust and doing the right thing at Pepperstone. As a Paralegal at Pepperstone, you will play a crucial role in assisting our legal department in various tasks related to regulatory compliance and legal documentation. You will have the opportunity to work on complex and challenging matters, and to make a significant contribution to our growing success.

You will report to our Head of Legal, Australia and work in a vibrant and fast-paced fintech environment. Surrounded by a team of highly skilled and experienced team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate across international markets.

We work hybrid between home and our swish office in Collins Square, 727 Collins Street, Melbourne. As we're a global business, we do need to be flexible at times to cross over with our team and some stakeholders outside Australia.

As our new Paralegal, your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Legal team with a wide range of tasks including general enquiries, vendor KYC, and litigation, regulatory, and IP filings.
  • Assisting with reviewing and executing commercial contracts, principally relating to marketing, procurement, NDAs, and powers of attorney.
  • Working on ad-hoc legal projects and requirements as directed by the Legal team members.
  • Working closely with a wide variety of stakeholders including Legal, Compliance & Risk, marketing, sales, finance, procurement, operations, and client support.
  • Providing general administrative support to the legal team, including maintaining contract management systems.
  • Undertaking legal research as needed.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field with experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and using online legal databases.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Legal certifications or licenses are a plus.

Why you will enjoy working with us:

  • Competitive salary structure including company bonus scheme.
  • Genuinely collaborative and friendly culture.
  • Flexible and hybrid working.
  • Remote working option - work from anywhere for up to 6 weeks per year, in addition to hybrid working as standard.
  • Ongoing personal development & learning opportunities.
  • 15 weeks paid primary carers parental leave & 4 weeks paid secondary carers leave.
  • 3 paid volunteering days per year & Workplace Giving Program.
  • Frequent events and celebrations including a standard weekly social.
  • Beautifully renovated large office at Collins Square - 727 Collins Street, Melbourne.
  • Best in class end of trip facilities including bicycle parking, change rooms & showers.
  • A fully stocked kitchen, onsite coffee machines with locally sourced coffee beans and curated specialty teas.
