The Senior Finance Manager provides leadership, support and assistance to the Yarram & District Health Service Executive and Board of Directors in maintaining and developing the YDHS financial controls, reporting, budgeting and management processes and systems.

This role is also responsible for the supervision and management of YDHS finance and administration teams.

Professional support to this role is accessible and is provided from external expert subject advisors, as required.

CPA qualifications and in-depth knowledge of Australian financial regulations.

Mandatory:

• Accounting qualifications
• Excellent IT skills, with demonstrated high level abilities in the use of spreadsheets and accounting software.
• Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in the preparation of complex budgets.
• Experience in business management.
• Demonstrated experience in cost centre accounting including budgeting, costing and application perspective.
• High level knowledge of the Financial Management Act.
• Experience in the Health Sector or public sector equivalent.
• Experience developing, maintaining and reporting through a complex system of cost centre accounts.
• Understanding the impact of changes to the FBT legislation in relation to Public Benevolent Institutions.
• An understanding of the operation of GST legislation and its impact upon Public Benevolent Institutions.
• Strong history of working in a complex organisation.
