Join Our Dental Team as a Dental Assistant & Receptionist
Location: Melbourne Health Centre
Employment Type: Permanent Part-time
Available Day: Saturday
Are you passionate about dental care and looking to join a dynamic and friendly team? We have an opportunity for a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant and Receptionist. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, flexible, and eager to be part of a caring and professional environment. We are looking for someone available to work on Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting the dentist during procedures, including chair-side support and sterilisation of instruments.
- Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms and instruments.
- Managing patient appointments, bookings and recalls.
- Welcoming patients and ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
- Handling patient enquiries and coordinating patient care.
- Maintaining patient records and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Managing payments and health fund claims.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a dental assistant and/or dental receptionist is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- A positive, friendly attitude with a strong focus on patient care;
- Good organisational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Proficiency in dental software (Oasis, Examine Pro) is a plus but not essential.

- No late evenings (centre is open Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm and Saturdays 8:30am - 2:30pm) and health centres located near public transport hubs.
