Data Analyst

  • Salary range starting from $110,266 pa + super

About the role:

  • We are seeking a Data Analyst with practical experience in a commercial or government environment to join our Compliance Assurance team.
  • In this role, you will work with large and complex datasets, extracting insights that drive decision-making and enhance customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing large, disparate datasets to uncover trends and business opportunities
  • Developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Tableau or Power BI
  • Using SQL and PySpark (essential), along with R, Python, KNIME, or RedPoint DM to process and analyse data
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights
  • Fostering effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality data-driven solutions

Requirements:

  • Practical experience in a commercial or government environment, working with large datasets
  • Advanced conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and uncover insights
  • Proficiency in SQL and PySpark (essential)
  • Experience in R, Python, KNIME, RedPoint DM, Tableau, or Power BI is also desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
  • A degree in analytics, data science, or a related field - or equivalent hands-on experience
