Role: Raging Waters Sydney - Attraction Hosts

About The Role

Attraction Hosts are to maintain exceptional guest service and professionalism whilst assisting guests to ride the attractions safely. The role will work across queue lines, express concierge, grouping and rider screening positions and dispatching on select attractions at Raging Waters Sydney. Applicants must be 18 years or older for this position.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Positive interactions with guests to ensure that they receive quality service.
• Tactfully dealing with guests who do not meet ride restrictions.
• Provide a safe and fun environment for guests.
• Operate various attractions throughout the park in a safe manner.
• Know and enforce all Raging Waters Sydney policies relating to service delivery.
• Ensure all attraction areas are supervised and that policies and procedures are followed.
• Recognise problems and decide on resolutions; communicate serious issues to the Head Guard or Operations Manager.
• Provide First Aid or CPR emergency care when required.
• Report faults and monitor technical equipment for maintenance requirements.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and park presentation.
• Maintain park presentation standards to the highest level.
• Assist with general cleaning of the park and grounds as directed; pressure washing outside operating hours as directed.
• Support over-park cleanliness including sweeping, rubbish removal, table cleaning, restrooms, and cabana areas.
• Carry out duties as assigned by the Aquatic Coordinator, Head Lifeguard, Operations Manager, Director of Operations, or management.

Work Health & Safety (WHS)

• Follow and comply with WHS policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Correctly use safety equipment and PPE.
• Demonstrate safe work behaviours and report incidents to management/First Aid.
• Promote proactive hazard/near-miss reporting to management.
• Attend Work Group Meetings to discuss and promote safety.

Requirements

Education – Essential

• Ellis and Associates Community CPR/AED & Standard First Aid and Community Certification (provided through Raging Waters Sydney)
• Dispatch Smart Waterslide Operator Training (provided through Raging Waters Sydney)
• Current Working with Children Check

Desirable

• Conflict Resolution Training

Languages: Fluent English

Skills

• Ability to lead by example; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiar with principles of quality customer service.
• Ability to handle various equipment; plan, prioritise and organise work with others; adapt to change.
• Think laterally and apply logical thinking to solve problems; handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Experience

Desirable: Experience in a Water Park or Theme Park, and in the Aquatics Industry.

Remuneration & Benefits

• Pay: Casual position from October to April with flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays during the season. Minimum two shifts per week during peak season (Dec 15, 2025 to Feb 1, 2026).
• Rates: Amusement, Events and Recreation Award; Grade 2 hourly rate for Attraction Hosts aged 20+ ($25.85 per hour) plus 25% casual loading ($32.31 per hour). Different rates apply for applicants under 20. Penalty rates on Sundays and Public Holidays.
