Project Portfolio Management (PPM) seeks a highly skilled Design Manager to oversee the design and engineering aspects of assigned projects. Reporting to the Lead Design Manager, this role ensures the technical integrity, safety, and quality of design and engineering works while meeting project milestones.

Key Objectives:
  • Provide technical problem-solving support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary interface for internal and external interactions, offering technical advice and guidance to the team.
  • Enhance the quality, timing, cost-effectiveness, and innovation of design and delivery on assigned projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including design resources, project management, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Identify and implement new opportunities for process improvements, technical skill enhancement, and overall design and engineering delivery.
Key Relationships and Areas of Influence:
  • Lead and promote collaboration within project teams.
  • Build strong, open working relationships with internal and external design resources, construction, commissioning, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and nurture constructive and influential business relationships across PPM and with external business partners, including clients, suppliers, and other agencies.
  • Previous project leadership experience is required.
  • A University degree in Engineering with a focus on Energy is necessary.
  • Proven experience in Project and Design Leadership/Management is essential.
Requirements:
  • Ability to travel intrastate, interstate, or internationally as required.
  • Availability for out-of-hours work when necessary.
Reporting Relationships:

This role reports directly to the Lead Design Manager and collaborates closely with project teams and other stakeholders.
