Overview

Floating Deputy Care Manager role at Montefiore. This is a permanent full-time position within the Residential Care team.

The Role

Reporting to the Executive Care Manager, you will oversee the delivery of quality care services, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Specialist, Registered Nurses and Assistant Nurses to promote clinical excellence and a culture of continuous learning and development. Responsibilities include advising on clinical issues, driving AN-ACC, clinical governance, supervising the assessment, planning and delivery of care, promoting best practice, assisting with admissions, medication management, documentation, rostering, and staff management.

Essential Criteria
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in AN-ACC
  • Extensive experience supporting consumers living with dementia
  • Previous experience managing staff
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well-developed organisational skills
  • Experience in palliative care and acute deterioration
  • Willingness to work across Hunters Hill, Randwick and Woollahra campuses
