Vacancy for Digital Collections Analyst at the State Library of New South Wales

The State Library of New South Wales collects and preserves materials and evidence relating to the State and its place in the world, making them accessible to everyone.
About the role- Develop policies, guidelines, and processes for acquiring and managing digital collection material.
- Support the acquisition of born-digital material from suppliers and ensure it meets specifications and guidelines.
- Prepare digital material for ingestion into the digital preservation system and troubleshoot any issues.
- Test and support equipment and software for digital curation activities in the Digital Preservation Lab.
- Communicate knowledge of digital preservation through training and workshops to ensure all staff have sufficient knowledge.
- Knowledge of international standards and best practices for preserving digital materials, including metadata, file formats, and technical specifications.
- Experience with collection management systems, web-based technologies, and databases for ongoing stewardship of born-digital collections.
- Capacity to work effectively with software tools used in digital preservation workflows.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience managing born-digital collections.
