Overview

PAINTER (PAINTING TRADES WORKER) required for a well-established Australian company FINE BRUSH COATING PTY LTD located at 17 CHARTERS WAY, HUNTLY VIC 3551. Prospective applicants must have prior experience of working commercially as a painter. Duties include:

  • Apply paint and varnishes using various tools and techniques.
  • Prepare sites for painting by cleaning and removing old materials.
  • Work full time with flexibility for odd hours and travel across Victoria.
Responsibilities
  • Apply paint and varnishes to decorate by using different brushes, rollers and help in spraying paint.
  • Apply all kinds of paints such as acrylic, oil-based paints, weather shield paint, water based and glossy paints.
  • Apply final coat of paint as and where required.
  • Secure the painting area from damage by laying drop sheets and plastic sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splatter.
  • Apply masking tape around windows and glass.
  • Secure openings and spaces between doors to avoid dust entering or leaving the area.
  • Prepare the site for painting by cleaning, sanding, and removing old paint and wallpaper where required.
Qualifications
  • Formal qualifications (AQF Certificate III in Painting and Decorating) with at least 1–2 years of practical experience will be prioritised.
  • Driving licence and a vehicle are mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel across Victoria to perform work in urban and regional locations.
  • Strong teamwork, energy, enthusiasm, and passion for painting.
