The successful candidate will possess excellent proficiency working with statistical software packages, experience working with large datasets independently, and strong epidemiological and biostatistical knowledge.

About the Role
  • Conduct high-quality research with a focus on quality and safety of care in aged care, medication safety, and integrated care.
  • Facilitate activities of federally funded projects focusing on individuals in aged care settings.
  • Work collaboratively with the ROSA team, research partners, consumer representatives, staff, and stakeholders of the research projects.
  • Analyze large datasets contained within ROSA, including aged care data, Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme data, Medicare Benefits Schedule data, and hospitalisation records.
  • Prepare papers for publication in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
  • Participate in the dissemination of research findings at appropriate conferences.
About You
  • Hold a degree qualification in a relevant field with extensive relevant experience.
  • Possess a PhD in Health Services Research, Epidemiology, Geriatrics, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related field.
  • Demonstrate a history of independent scientific contributions in your discipline.
  • Show excellent proficiency working with SAS, R, or Stata.
  • Have experience working with large datasets independently, preferably with aged care and/or health service data.
  • Display excellent epidemiological and biostatistical knowledge.
Special Requirements
  • Sometimes out-of-hours work may be required.
