Job Description Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a part-time casual basis. As an integral part of our multidisciplinary clinic, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care to patients dealing with musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, and sports-related injuries.

You will have the opportunity to operate state-of-the-art medical equipment while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to the highest medical standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient-centered nursing care in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.
  • Educate patients and their families on care plans, medications, and post-treatment instructions.
  • Assist physicians and healthcare professionals during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
Education & Experience
  • Current and valid registration as an LPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to assess and respond to patient needs effectively.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and clinic needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with Electronic Medical Record Systems (EMRs) is a plus.
  • Ability to uphold and maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare administration, including regulations, compliance, and industry best practices.
Working Conditions
  • Part-time casual with availability for evenings and weekends to accommodate clinic needs.
  • The role requires a degree of autonomy, strong communication, and collaboration within a dynamic, high-volume setting.
Physical & Psychological Health Requirements
  • The role may involve physical activities, including long periods of standing, administrative duties, and moving medical equipment.
  • Must be able to practice patience and empathy while interacting with patients experiencing both acute/chronic pain.
  • Ability to assist patients entering or exiting the clinic with mobility challenges.
