Our Vacation Program

As a Vacation Student in theR&D (Research & Development) Tax and Government Incentives team, you will get a head start on your career by obtaining valuable practical experience during your university break.

  • Learning about R&D Tax Incentive legislation and broader Tax legislation
  • Assistance in preparation of financial reports, R&D Registrations, various grants, financial reports and other supporting information.
When does it start?

Depending on the division you apply for, the vacation program will start on August 12, 2025.

Who you are:

The R&D (Research & Development) Tax and Government Incentives team at RSM are interested in motivated and enthusiastic Vacation Students who possess the following skillsets and experiences:

  • Penultimate year students completing Tax, Law, Business Law, Accounting degrees;
  • Willingness to work autonomously and in a collaborative team environment;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as an enthusiasm to learn;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Leadership and client services experience, either in university, employment, or extra-curricular contexts;
  • Interest in, or experience with software development, start-up business or technology will be highly valued;
  • Australian citizen, permanent resident, or visa holder with full working rights in Aus.
