Control Systems Engineer Vacation Student opportunity at Gold Fields offers hands-on experience in a leading mining company committed to sustainability and community development.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

  • Participate in the Gold Fields Vacation Program from December 2025 to February 2026
  • Engage in role-specific training at one of four operational mine sites
  • Work on a 5 days on, 2 days off roster in the Perth office or an 8 days on, 6 days off 12-hour shift roster on site
  • Gain practical, hands-on experience in control systems engineering within mining operations
  • Collaborate with an international team of experienced professionals
About You

What you'll need:

  • Currently enrolled in at least the second year of a Control & Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering tertiary qualification
  • Hold a C Class Manual Driver's License or be able to obtain one
  • Ability to obtain National Police Clearance
  • Exposure or experience in mining or heavy industry is highly regarded
  • Tech-savvy, quick learner, and a team player
  • Comfortable working in remote locations
