Overview

Expressions of Interest - Maintainer Auto Electrician – Hancock Iron Ore. Expressions of Interest for Maintainer Auto Electricians to join our Mobile Maintenance team. By submitting your interest, you'll be considered for future roles as they become available and we'll connect with you when a suitable opportunity arises.

Reporting to the Supervisor Mobile Maintenance, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems on a range of mobile equipment. Our workshop is divided into three specialised areas to apply your skills where they're needed most.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in mobile equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to optimise equipment performance
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures
Equipment and Focus Areas
  • Auxiliary areas include: Light Vehicles & Support Equipment (Toyota 4WDs, buses, light towers, and small ancillary equipment)
  • Heavy Road Transport – Isuzu, Scania, MAN, and Tatra trucks
  • Workshop specialised areas:
  • Loaders: CAT (994, 992, 854)
  • Water Carts: CAT (785 & 777)
  • Graders: CAT (24M, 18M & 16M)
    • Auxiliary Maintenance:
    • Heavy duty and light vehicle maintenance, including forklifts, Franna cranes, JLG EWPs, tyre handlers, and skid steer loaders
    Skills and Experience
    • Australian recognised Auto Electrical Trade Certificate required
    • Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Air Conditioning required
    • Forklift, EWP, Crane, Dogging and Basic Rigging licences required
    • Previous experience in a mining or heavy industry environment
