Denison College of Secondary Education - Kelso High Campus is a comprehensive secondary school with an enrolment of 820 students, including 160 Aboriginal students. Specific Selection Criteria

• Approval and experience to teach SDD - Software Design and Development (Software Engineering).
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish positive working relationships with students, staff and parents to improve student learning outcomes.
• Capacity to implement effective classroom management strategies and contribute to differentiated and innovative teaching and learning programs to engage and meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

Applicants seeking either permanent full-time or permanent part-time employment are encouraged to apply. If the recommended applicant is seeking permanent part-time employment (FTE from 0.1 to 0.9 inclusive), they will be offered an appointment at their desired FTE. Applicants on the eligibility list will be offered the remaining FTE but are not obliged to accept. Further information can be found on the merit selection webpage.

Successful applicants may be entitled to a Recruitment Bonus of $20,000 (Conditions Apply). The Recruitment Bonus will be paid on a pro rata basis for permanent part-time teachers and executive staff. The maximum recruitment bonus available for a position is $20,000, including any job share arrangements.

A Relocation Support Payment of $5,000 up to $8,000 will be available for eligible applicants.

Special Notes

The successful applicant will be appointed to Denison College and initially based at the Kelso Campus. Applicants are to include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application.
