Overview

Join to apply for the Trades Assistant / Work Execution Officer role at UGL.

As a fundamental player in the Defence industry, UGL supports the Defence Fuel Network across 100 Australian Defence bases nationwide, delivering operations, maintenance, asset management and fuel supply services.

The Role

Based at Pearce RAAF Base (Bullsbrook, Perth WA) with occasional regional travel, you will be part of a core crew of UGL technicians, reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity within the Australia Defence environment to support security requirements and work with a Tier 1 services provider on a long-term contract.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Scoping mechanical and electrical work activities
  • Procurement of materials and creation of work packs
  • Management of maintenance documentation on a Computerised Maintenance Management System
  • Coordination of contractors including obtaining quotes and documentation
  • Assisting maintenance technicians in field works
  • Supporting various sites in the region, with occasional travel to sites throughout WA
  • General administration and ad hoc duties as required
What You Need
  • Previous labouring or trade (mechanical) experience
  • Highly regarded
  • Experience with SAP-based Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
  • Experience preparing permit to work documentation and risk assessments
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything you do
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, appropriate Defence Security Clearance
  • Savvy IT / computer literacy & skills
