What You'll Be Doing

In this critical role, you will be responsible for both injury management and supporting a positive Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) culture across our organisation. Your responsibilities will include:

Injury Management & Return to Work
  • Coordinate and manage workers' compensation and non-work-related injury cases
  • Lead return-to-work (RTW) processes, liaising with employees, managers, medical providers and WorkCover agents
  • Manage compensation payments, PIAWE, and payroll reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate case files, injury management plans and documentation
  • Provide expert advice and support to leaders managing injured or ill employees
  • Ensure compliance with WIRC legislative requirements and organisational policies
Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Support
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture across the organisation
  • Partner with OHV stakeholders and external providers
  • Support and drive wellbeing initiatives and HSW campaigns
  • Participate in incident investigations, quality and safety walks, and workplace risk assessments
  • Contribute to HSW Committees and internal HSW Networks
  • Report on injury trends, claims performance and safety statistics
What You'll Bring
  • Experience in injury management, RTW coordination, or workers' compensation case management
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees and stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation (e.g. WIRC Act)
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting to measure the success of injury prevention, management and Return to Work initiatives
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting people through recovery
  • Certificate IV in Cert IV Personal Injury Management (Return to Work) is desirable
  • Return to Work Coordinator certification is desirable
  • Certificate IV in WHS/OHS is desirable (Diploma highly regarded)
