The Team:

Consists of Telephonists and Hospital receptionists, who are responsible for providing clients with a professional and efficient service in regard to incoming and outgoing telephone enquiries, as well as portraying a professional and friendly image at all times, when dealing with staff and the general public who may need direction or assistance.

The Role:

The Team Leader- Communications is the key resource to managers and employees in the provision of telecommunication services, online directory and reception services for the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) precinct.
  • Provide leadership and direction to staff of the Telecommunications unit in the day-to-day delivery of services, including the areas of ARC switchboard operation, online directory, reception, VOIP telephony and mobile services throughout the LGH precinct.
  • Liaise with external agency contacts and contracted telecommunications providers to ensure the LGH precinct receives effective and modern communications services.
  • Coordinate the allocation of human and material resources, including rostering.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team until 2 July 2027.

Salary: $98,255 to $103,069 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Salary Packaging:

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
