Overview

AES Equipment Solutions is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join our Hazelmere Workshop on a full-time basis.

As a Leading Hand with AES, you are responsible for supporting the workshop team in scheduled maintenance and diagnostics on a wide variety of mining equipment. You will also be responsible for motivating and inspiring the team, ensuring they deliver their best performance every day. Communication is key, as you\'ll have daily interactions with the workshop Manager, internal staff and contractors, ensuring smooth collaboration and effective workflow.

In this role you will be responsible for
  • Leading a team of multi-skilled personnel in a safe and cost-effective manner
  • Day-to-day activities of workshop personnel
  • Technical support and guidance
  • Mentoring apprentices and leading by example for all staff
  • Working on CAT rebuilds
  • Diagnosis, maintenance and repair of large earthmoving and associated equipment
  • Problem solve and manage conflicting priorities
What we are looking for
  • Australian Manual Drivers Licence
  • Australian/NZ Recognised Trade Certificate
  • Previous experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing workshop environment
  • Strong safety focus with a working knowledge of WorkSafe regulations
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Tickets and licences EG: Forklift, WAH, Crane, etc
