Senior Dietitian Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a motivated Senior Dietitian Assistant to join our Nutrition and Dietetics team at Logan Hospital. This role supports dietitians in delivering high-quality, patient-centred nutritional care and provides advanced clinical and administrative support within the Allied Health Division.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering specialised clinical assessments and treatment programs delegated by dietitians.
  
• Providing dietary education and supporting patients to follow prescribed therapeutic meal plans.
  
• Maintaining and monitoring clinical equipment, resources, and stock control.
  
• Supporting and mentoring junior dietitian assistants and students.

You are a dedicated and compassionate professional who thrives in a team-based environment and is committed to optimising patient care. You will bring strong technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work within defined scope of practice.

The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate

• Certificate IV - Allied Health Assistant (Nutrition & Dietetics) or equivalent.
  
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with patients, carers, and healthcare teams.
  
• Excellent time management and workload prioritisation skills.
  
• A commitment to service quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care. We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties.
