We are seeking a trade-qualified Maintenance Electrician to join a fast-paced and supportive maintenance team in a high-performing food manufacturing facility located in Melbourne's northern suburbs. This is a full-time day shift role offering excellent conditions, regular overtime, and long-term career potential.

About The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will see you carry out a mix of breakdown response, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement tasks across automated production and packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend to electrical breakdowns quickly and safely to minimise downtime
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Collaborate with Fitters, Electricians, and Production Operators to keep the plant running smoothly
  • Conduct fault finding across a range of equipment including motors, conveyors, pumps, and packaging machinery
  • Support root cause analysis and contribute to longer-term maintenance solutions
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation through the site's CMMS (MEX preferred)

What We're Looking For
  • A-Grade Electrical Licence (required)
  • Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or similar high-speed environments
  • Strong fault-finding skills with exposure to PLC-controlled systems
  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms
  • A problem-solving mindset and the ability to work well in a team
  • A focus on safety and continuous improvement
