About the OPPORTUNITY

We have a new 6-month fixed term contract opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our Central Functions based at Adelaide - South Australia, reporting to the Data Governance Specialist. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

You will be responsible for assisting in the clarification of business or customer needs through the investigation, analysis, review and documentation of requirements to contribute to ensure that delivered solutions are appropriate and aligned to the business or customer needs.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions, to enable business decisions, including assisting in developing proof-of-concepts.
  2. Work with a wide range of technical and operationally diverse people across the business, and influence them to develop evidence-based solutions to business issues whilst maintaining key relationships.
  3. Support the on-going data access cleanse by collaborating with stakeholders to understand their data needs and access requirements.
  4. Support linking the key datasets to HR Capabilities.
  5. Support linking data usage scenarios and personas with key datasets.
  6. Support developing a framework that provides an overview of the data (sensitive and non-sensitive) available in core reports, dashboards and systems.
  7. Support understanding the data landscape by reviewing data reports, dashboards and systems.
  8. Support the creation of Process Workflows, Process maps, diagrams and documentation on data governance.
  9. Support stakeholder workshops hosting activities.
About YOU
  1. Demonstrated expertise in all facets of business analysis is essential.
  2. Expertise with MS Visio is considered desirable.
  3. ITIL and/or BA certification is considered desirable.
  4. Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or equivalent is considered desirable.
  5. Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain a Baseline Clearance.
