We are seeking experienced Project Planners to join our dynamic project delivery team, supporting the planning and execution of civil infrastructure projects across Western Australia. This is a FIFO role on a 2&1 roster, working on site with engineering, commercial, and delivery teams to provide real-time planning and project control services across the full project lifecycle.
Main duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Develop and maintain Primavera P6 schedules for execution of civil works, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and project milestones.
- Support end-to-end project controls including planning, scheduling, progress measurement, forecasting, and reporting.
- Integrate procurement, construction, and commissioning activities into the master schedule.
- Conduct critical path analysis, identify schedule risks and opportunities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with project engineers, construction supervisors, and commercial teams to ensure schedule accuracy and responsiveness.
- Provide regular progress updates, variance analysis, and recovery planning where required.
- Assist in the preparation of extension of time claims and project delay narratives.
- Work closely with cost control to align scheduling and budgeting for earned value analysis and reporting.
- Maintain compliance with company planning procedures and client reporting requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of planning experience in construction, ideally within the civil or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven ability to work autonomously on site within a project delivery team.
- Proficient in Primavera P6; experience with MS Project and Power BI desirable.
- Strong understanding of project controls principles, including earned value, critical path method (CPM), methods of measurement and construction methodology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across disciplines and influence outcomes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction scopes, and contract documents.
- Familiarity with FIFO site operations and working on a 2/1 roster.
Position requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, or similar discipline.
